One more theory, avengers spoilers:
I do not think that Loki was being controlled. As much as it would be nice to believe, and I can tell that everyone WANTS to believe it, I can’t find myself doing so.
It’s just not him. He would never let himself fall into a trap like that. I truly believe he was working of his own accord.
As I said before, I don’t think he was expecting it to be as it turned out to be, hence him kind of surrendering in the end, but I don’t think he was just being controlled.
It completely contradicts his character.

yup, I saw the Avengers last night
holy fuck. Its amazing.
Its witty, its pristine, each character is represented well, all the actors have phenomenal delivery, and Joss Whedon . JOSS FUCKING WHEDON.
Also, I just wanna give Loki a hug. Tom Hiddleston has made Loki my favorite and I can’t wait for Thor 2.

I’m oddly excited for the Avengers
Only because literally a week ago I had no interest in seeing it.
But Savanna was like “NO YOU MUST WATCH ALL THESE MOVIES RIGHT NOW AND YOU WILL BE EXCITED!”

Welp, I’ve since watched Iron Man 1 and 2 and Thor.
And I partially hate Savanna and love her at the same time for introducing me to a new favorite fictional character, Loki.
So yeah, I’m really fucking excited for the premier tonight.
